How Social Media affects our Health…..?

What was the life when there were no televisions, computers and mobile phones; you can say the life was not developed because of the lack of the facilities but in real sense the life was very simple. People were simple with a lot of time consuming with ourselves because there was no fastness. People were meeting with each other after long time and this was the reason there was love and respect for each other. On the other side, today there is modernity in everything, people are connected to the world means one person sitting in corner of the world can be connected to other one who is sitting in other corner and can get live updates this is because of the connectivity of whole world as a global village.

No doubt, this technology of connectivity gives us a huge benefit but what we people really using this connectivity as a use full tool or we are exploiting it? Because I personally think that we are exploiting the technology more instead of getting benefit. We will see by taking a little example of media.

Any  Medium like radio, television or other digital medium is created or invented for the people and for their easiness but someone has said ‘Excess of everything is bad’ means everything mostly we use have two sides positive and negative ones. For example most people see television for entertainment and infotainment purpose but many others sit whole day in front of television and slowly they become habitual for whole life. So, today here we will discuss about the form of digital media that is social media.

Social media in modern world emerged as revolutionary tool for change we know that few years ago when people were not much aware about this medium they were mainly dependent on print and electronic mediums no doubt also today they are but not as much as followers of social media which includes
Facebook,Whats app,Twitter,Snap-chat,Instagram etc.

Today in busy world people for more or latest information go through the social media as it gives quick information with entertainment .Social media is not only a platform of connecting the people the where people from all around are connected and sharing their thoughts with each other and completing their tasks with mutual understanding but with millions of users it has been become a platform for business promotion and money making.

In social media every day we get more information about everything it is not right that we always receive true information sometimes we also wrong information which is not properly researched that people give their opinion without checking facts and this effects us in reliability matter which in result lead us to stress.
It also leads us to loneliness that people who are addicted to social media mostly try to remain alone as other cannot disturb him/her. But in real sense such people are not only wasting their time but also experiencing negative effects lack of sleep; withdraw from social connectivity and getting eye problems.

Social media create one kind of a fear in which we mentally become sick such as fear of privacy in which personnel data can be stolen and by getting that by hacking one can blackmail you and say complete my demands either I will show this privacy to the world which in result create a worry and mind disturbance for us.
Other these, overwhelming use of social media  also creates  physical impacts on our health .for example when we are driving our focus is on the driving but when with driving we enjoying social media which mostly people do which results accidents because of the distraction. Means distraction is the harm full factor which needs to be under consideration.

Due to whole day sitting in front of the computer or before screen using social media  we are not connected with other things like exercise   which enables us to continue and spend more life but due to the habit social media we ignore the exercise resultantly we became lazy and do not do other work. And continue typing of the words on the computer affects our hands and wrists. In last I would say, Social media is a plateform for expressing thoughts words and feelings. However it depend on us how we use it positive and in efficient way or in a way which leads us to destruction of our health. Being aware of the risks and vulnerabilities if we do not care ourselves then who will do. It is up to us to make sure that social connectivity does not turn into social dysfunction.

Staying healthy on Social Media

Now one question may arise in your thinking process any educated person may not remain without use of social media its answer will be you are right nobody will deny from usage of social media the matter to say that use social media in positive way which does not affect your health including physical work and from other social causes. When you use it consciously and in moderation, it does not affect you and have a positive impact on your life.

Here are some general tips to keep in mind.

If you have become habitual of social media and cannot remain without it, then should consult with doctor or some positive people or engage yourself in any other activity or you can also get other professional help.

Use social media at certain times. Means there should be time table for usage which does not let you interfere with your work, studies or other relationships.

Take care yourself, communication while driving or charging your mobile phone it is harm full for your health.

Change your looking’s to your computer or in mobile phone after few minutes that will keep you in relaxation and will no effect on your eyes.

Mostly online people sit for entertainment and waste their time and give false arguments which are without research based us do not have to continue discussion with such people.

Be positive other cannot harm you.
